Description

A richly coloured Namibian amethyst cluster displaying intergrown quartz crystals with deep violet-purple areas, paler lilac zones and bright vitreous lustre. The recorded locality is Brandberg / Erongo Mountains, Namibia; a more precise locality has not been established.

The close-set crystals form an uneven, sculptural display face, with overlapping points and reflective terminations catching the light at different angles. Darker purple areas contrast with lighter, more translucent portions around the margins. This variation in colour gives the cluster depth and brings out the arrangement of the individual crystals.

Fine dark speckling is visible across many of the crystals, adding another layer of detail beneath and around the reflective faces. Green associated material is recorded as Epidote and/or Chlorite. That supplied identification is retained without assigning every dark speck to a particular mineral.

Small brassy-yellow metallic accents, recorded as Pyrite, provide contrast against the purple and pale underlying material. The reverse photographs reveal further metallic specks, broader contact surfaces and the relationship between the crystal-covered face and the body of the specimen.

A compact display specimen for collectors interested in Namibian amethyst, purple colour zoning and associated minerals. At 163 g and 70 × 50 × 40 mm, it offers a closely grouped crystal surface with detail to examine from both the front and reverse. Please inspect all seven photographs for crystal edges, contact areas and overall condition. You will receive the exact specimen pictured.

Spiritual associations

In crystal traditions, amethyst is associated with tranquillity, reflection and spiritual awareness. It may be chosen as a focus for meditation or setting calm, considered intentions. These are spiritual associations rather than scientifically established effects.
