Amethyst with Epidote/Chlorite & Pyrite — Namibia — 275 g

A densely intergrown amethyst cluster from Namibia, displaying deep purple crystal faces beside paler lilac growth and extensive dark green mineral coatings. Small brassy-yellow accents, recorded as Pyrite, add another contrasting detail to this 275 g specimen.

The amethyst forms a closely packed arrangement of short crystal points and broad reflective faces. Purple colour varies across the group, with darker areas beside lighter, more translucent portions. Fine dark speckling is visible within or across several of the paler outer crystals.

The green associated material, supplied as Epidote and/or Chlorite, covers substantial areas of the display face. Its finely textured surface contrasts with exposed glassy quartz faces and the sharper reflections from the crystal terminations. This mixture of coated and open faces gives the cluster interest from several viewing directions.

A reverse view reveals pale underlying material with further green mineralisation and scattered brassy grains. Measuring 70 × 50 × 40 mm, the specimen offers both a richly crystallised display side and an informative view of its associated material.

The recorded locality is Brandberg / Erongo Mountains, Namibia; a specific mine is not recorded. A characterful piece for collectors interested in Namibian amethyst, mineral coatings and amethyst–Pyrite associations.
