Description
A compact Namibian amethyst cluster with rich violet-purple crystals, patchy olive-green mineral coatings and small brassy accents recorded as Pyrite. Its close-set crystal points present a varied display face, combining bright vitreous reflections with finely textured coated areas.
The larger crystals rise above smaller intergrowths, with pale lilac margins contrasting against deeper purple portions. Broad reflective faces and pointed terminations catch the light between the green coatings, allowing the crystal form and surface texture to be appreciated together.
Fine dark speckling is visible on several of the paler crystals. The green associated material is supplied as Epidote and/or Chlorite; its exact identity is not resolved by the photographs. The contrast between the purple quartz and this patchy mineral covering is a particularly distinctive feature of the piece.
The side views show the depth of the cluster and pale crystalline material around parts of its base and margins. At 163 g and 70 × 50 × 35 mm, this is a compact display specimen for collectors of Namibian amethyst and associated minerals.
Locality is recorded as Brandberg / Erongo Mountains, Namibia. Please examine all five photographs for the individual terminations, crystal edges, contact areas and surface condition. You will receive the exact specimen shown.
