About this Dioptase specimen

Dioptase with Fornacite from Mindouli District, Republic of Congo, displaying lustrous emerald-green crystals in a densely intergrown cluster.

Broad, blocky rhombohedral crystal faces give this Dioptase specimen a bold, angular structure. Deep green interiors contrast with brighter turquoise-green edges, while reflective surfaces catch the light across the uneven crystal growth. Smaller interlocking crystals fill the spaces between the larger forms, adding depth and fine detail throughout the cluster.

The contrasting, finely textured green Fornacite association lies across and between the glassy Dioptase crystals. This difference in surface character gives the specimen a distinctive appearance: smooth, highly reflective faces sit beside softer-looking mineral aggregates, making the natural association especially engaging to examine from different angles.

An expressive collector mineral specimen with strong colour, varied crystal size and attractive three-dimensional form. The photographs show several sides of the exact piece, including close views of the crystal faces and associated mineral growth. Natural, with no repairs or enhancements, as supplied. I will pack the specimen carefully to protect its crystal surfaces during transit.
