Description
Green Fluorite with Quartz and white crystalline matrix from Zhejiang Province, China. Pale green crystal faces, purple accents and overlapping white plates distinguish this collector specimen. The principal Fluorite rises above one end of an elongated, densely crystallised matrix.
The prominent pale green Fluorite presents a broad geometric face with a softly frosted surface. Small purple crystal accents interrupt the green colour around its margins and adjoining crystal surfaces. The contrast between the broad face and these small dark violet details gives the focal crystal particular definition.
Across the elongated matrix, translucent white plates overlap in a densely intergrown arrangement. Rounded to angular outlines, layered edges and shallow spaces between the plates create a richly textured surface. A finer sparkling crystalline coating adds a contrasting sugary texture over parts of the specimen.
Quartz is present as identified by the seller. The separate white platy mineral has not been conclusively identified, so it is described by its visible form without assigning an additional species. The purple details are described as crystal accents rather than a separate unverified mineral.
The composition changes with the viewing angle: one side emphasises the green Fluorite and purple accents, while another reveals extensive white crystal coverage. Photographs show several orientations and close details, including one view illuminated from beneath. Colour and translucency vary with the lighting.
Locality supplied as Zhejiang Province, China. Uneven crystal edges and contact or chipped areas are visible; please examine all six photographs. The exact specimen pictured and an Avalon Crystals & Minerals specimen certification card are included.
