Description

Green Fluorite crystal cluster from Zhejiang Province, China, with broad triangular faces, fine stepped texture and purple colour zoning along parts of the lower edges. Scattered small white associated crystals add contrast to this sculptural collector specimen.

Several overlapping faces rise into an angular, peak-like outline. Softly frosted surfaces carry a delicate mosaic of small steps, contrasting with smoother and more translucent patches. The cluster presents different arrangements of faces as it is turned.

Purple edging is visible around some lower crystal margins. Small white crystals are scattered over selected faces and adjoining areas; their mineral species has not been confirmed, so no additional species is assigned.

Illumination from beneath brings out a vivid green appearance. The unlit photograph shows a softer green colour and the white crystal coverage clearly. Colour and translucency vary with lighting. All four photographs show the exact specimen offered.

Visible fractures, uneven edges and chipped areas can be seen in the photographs. The exact specimen is supplied with its illuminated wooden display base and an Avalon Crystals & Minerals specimen certification card. Locality supplied as Zhejiang Province, China.
