Green & Purple Stepped Fluorite — Zhejiang, China
Zhejiang Province, China
£200
New Arrival · Excluded from the 50% sale.
Description
Green and purple Fluorite from Zhejiang Province, China, with broad triangular faces, stepped edges and a finely textured surface. Illuminated wooden base included. The overlapping planes and layered outline give this cabinet specimen a distinctive geometric character.
Broad faces show a frosted, finely granular texture, interrupted by clearer areas and visible internal fractures. Repeated steps along the edges create a terraced outline, while purple colour bands contrast with the green body of the specimen.
The included illuminated wooden base transmits light through the Fluorite, bringing out bright green tones and purple bands. Under ordinary lighting the specimen appears considerably darker. Both illuminated and unlit photographs are included so its appearance can be compared. The lighting effect shown is transmitted visible light, not a claim of fluorescence.
Locality supplied as Zhejiang Province, China. Visible internal fractures, uneven edges and chipped areas form part of the condition; please examine the detailed photographs. The exact specimen, pictured illuminated wooden base and an Avalon Crystals & Minerals specimen certification card are included.
