Colour-Zoned Fluorite on Calcite
Qinglong County, Guizhou Province, China
£200
Description
Large, intergrown Fluorite cubes rise above a white to cream Calcite matrix, with smaller cubic crystals scattered along the elongated display face. Pale lavender faces contrast with the finer, sparkling Calcite growth beneath them.
The larger crystals show visible colour zoning: pale greenish interiors are framed by soft lilac to violet margins. This internal colour contrast follows the cubic geometry and is especially apparent in the close-up photographs. Translucent areas and vitreous reflections alternate with finely textured, more frosted faces.
The Fluorite’s well-developed cubic habit stands out against rounded Calcite formations and a fine crystalline druse. The exposed matrix along the lower edge adds a layered profile to the specimen. From Qinglong County, Guizhou Province, China, it weighs 931 g and measures 190 × 85 × 65 mm. The display stand shown is included.
Natural mineral specimen. Minor contacts and edge wear may be present, consistent with extraction and handling. Please examine all five photographs, including the close-ups of the larger cubes, for the exact condition. You will receive the specimen photographed.
