Light Blue Fluorite with Chalcopyrite — Yaogangxian, China — 217 g

A pale blue Fluorite cluster with translucent cubic crystals, stepped faces and brassy metallic mineralisation supplied as Chalcopyrite. Almost colourless edges contrast with deeper blue areas within the intergrown crystals.

Pale mineral coatings and darker metallic patches create a varied surface across the cluster. Different orientations reveal overlapping crystal outlines, internal fractures and changes in translucency. Some edges show irregular surfaces and contact areas; the original photographs show these details from several directions.
