Malachite

Description

Rounded green Malachite growth forms a compact, richly textured mineral landscape. Botryoidal mounds rise beside small open cavities, with radiating fibrous detail giving the surface a finely worked appearance. The outline is irregular and organic, with neighbouring growths gathering into a balanced sculptural form.

Lighter reflections trace the raised green surfaces while the deeper recesses hold darker tones. That contrast gives the piece depth without relying on a sharply pointed crystal habit. Close inspection brings out the relationship between the broad rounded forms and the finer texture that covers them.

Viewed from another side, the cavities and radiating areas take on a different emphasis. The interest is in this changing relief: a specimen that reads first as a green sculptural shape, then reveals finer Malachite growth as the eye moves across its surface.
