Description

Soft pink botryoidal Rhodochrosite contrasts with dark Sphalerite, sparkling Quartz, lustrous golden Chalcopyrite and pale Stilbite.

Pink rounded growths spread across the dark mineral matrix, with clear to translucent Quartz and reflective golden Chalcopyrite adding detail between them. The pale Stilbite adds a further contrast in colour and crystal form.

From the Starnitsa Deposit in the Davidkovo Ore Field, Bulgaria, this specimen weighs 350 g and measures 80 × 75 × 42 mm. The five photographs show the exact specimen, presented on a clear display stand.
