Tourmaline in Quartz · 99 g
Karibib, Erongo, Namibia, Africa
£10 (was £20)
Description
A bold black Tourmaline crystal contrasts with a pale, textured Quartz matrix in this specimen from Karibib in Namibia’s Erongo region. The principal crystal is partly embedded in the host rock, with a broad exposed prism and pronounced lengthwise striations that catch narrow highlights across its dark surface.
Smaller black crystal sections are visible beside the main prism, adding detail across the uneven quartz surface. The pale matrix has an irregular outline, with shallow recesses and translucent edges that provide an attractive contrast to the opaque Tourmaline. Front, side and reverse photographs show the relationship between the crystal and its supporting matrix.
This is an individual natural mineral specimen, supplied with an Avalon Crystals & Minerals specimen certification card recording its identification and locality. The photographs show the exact piece offered.
