About Me — and the Heart of Avalon Healing

I founded Avalon Healing in loving memory of my late father, Colin Henry Chapman of Speckington Manor, Yeovilton — a traditional West Country farmer and a truly kind-hearted gentleman.

The Chapman family has farmed the lands of South Somerset for over 300 years, once owning Winterhaye Farms in Ilminster, Mudford Sock Farm, and Manor Farm in Lufton, Yeovil.

On my grandmother Elizabeth Gooding’s side, our family worked estates across Devon and Somerset for more than 400 years, deeply rooted in what we call the Ancient Lands of Avalon.

While caring for my father through his illness with COPD, I spent eight years researching natural remedies and herbal healing from around the world. Though he never liked the taste of many of them, that search became the seed that grew into Avalon Healing — a journey back to the wisdom of nature.

I’m Jamieson Henry Chapman — a groundworker by trade, a builder by heart, and a seeker by spirit.

Born at Speckington Manor and raised among the fields and streams of Somerset, I grew up helping my father on the land at Manor Farm, Lufton. Those early days taught me the rhythm of nature — the scent of rain on soil, the quiet strength of trees, and the value of honest work.

From the solid bedrock of Somerset to the shimmering surface of a crystal, my life has always been about working with the Earth — shaping it, honouring it, and learning from it.

By day, I work with Contractors Groundworks on national housing developments such as Mid Somer Meadows, building foundations and soakaways for future homes and gardens. The work is hard but grounding — every stone, every layer of soil tells a story of time, endurance, and transformation.

By night, I share the treasures of that same Earth through AvalonCrystal.com and my Avalon Healing eBay store. Each piece is hand-selected for its energy, beauty, and story — a bridge between the physical and spiritual, between the grounded and the ethereal.

This journey is also inspired by my son, Joseph Henry Chapman and partner Lisa and my beautiful granddaughter, Sapphire Lily Jayne Chapman — both bright lights in my life and reminders of the generations who came before us and those still to come.

I believe in natural healing, integrity in trade, and living with purpose. The path hasn’t always been easy, but each challenge has shaped me — like stone polished smooth by the river of life.
